This Privacy Policy describes how BlaBlaSell (the Service) processes personal data. The Service includes social features, messaging, media (including reels and similar formats), live streaming, voice and video calls, location-assisted discovery, marketplace listing and messaging (not in-platform purchase for those listings), forums, blogs, events, jobs, funding tools, games, movies-style features, offers, memories, advertising and SmartPromote-style tools, wallet and payments, monetisation and payouts, Chainema, developer apps and APIs, directories, explore-style discovery, security and anti-abuse features, and artificial intelligence subprocessors where enabled.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Roberto Calvo Productions Ltd, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. For privacy matters, contact info@blablasell.com. For EU/UK users, you may contact us regarding processing of your personal data. Personal data is processed on servers and storage operated by DigitalOcean (Droplets and Spaces) in the region(s) chosen for deployment, and may be processed in other locations if you enable integrations that store or process data elsewhere.

2. Categories of data we process

• Account and profile: name, username, email, phone if provided (including for SMS verification), password hash, language, birthday/age where collected, photos, bio, links, professional or “open to work” style fields if used.
• Content and activity: posts, comments, messages, media uploads, streams, call or live session metadata, reactions, follows, groups, pages, forum and blog content, events, jobs, funding posts, games or movies interactions, offers, memories, reports, moderation logs.
• Marketplace listings: listing text, images, categories, and messages sent through listing flows (we do not process marketplace checkout card data for those listings because checkout on-platform is not offered for them).
• Chainema: watch history where stored, library, purchases, subscriptions, entitlements, parental or rating preferences, subtitles or transcripts where generated.
• Transactions and monetisation: payment references, wallet movements, invoices metadata, payout and withdrawal details, subscription status; card data is handled by payment processors, not stored by us in full.
• Advertising and promotion: identifiers used for delivery or measurement, campaign parameters, billing contacts for advertisers where provided.
• Location: approximate location from IP; where you allow it, more precise location for nearby friends, shops or business discovery.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser data, cookies and similar identifiers, diagnostics, security and fraud signals (e.g. unusual-login style alerts).
• Developer and API: app identifiers, OAuth tokens, API usage logs, webhook delivery metadata.
• AI processing: text or media snippets, prompts, model outputs, moderation scores, transcription text sent to or from providers such as OpenAI or Moonshot/Kimi (or others configured by the Operator).
• Communications: emails or in-Service messages you send to us.

3. Purposes and legal bases (EU/UK reference)

• Provide the Service (contract): account, feed, messaging, calls and live features, listings and contact, forums, blogs, events, jobs, funding surfaces, games, movies, offers, memories, directories, Chainema, wallet and payments for Service features, monetisation, developer integrations.
• Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, abuse detection, product analytics, infrastructure performance, aggregated statistics, service improvement, enforcing terms.
• Consent: where required for non-essential cookies, precise location, marketing emails, optional AI features, or similar; you may withdraw consent anytime.
• Legal obligation: retention or disclosure where the law requires.

4. Automated processing and AI

We may use automated systems, including machine learning or external AI APIs, to detect spam, classify content, generate transcripts or suggestions, or assist human moderators. Such processing may involve subprocessors in multiple countries. If a decision produces legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means, we will comply with applicable law, including providing information or human review where required.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage for session, preferences, security, and (where enabled) advertising or analytics. Essential cookies are needed for login and security. For non-essential cookies, we rely on consent where required. This policy works together with the cookie banner.

6. Recipients and subprocessors

At present the Operator relies primarily on: (1) DigitalOcean, LLC and its affiliates for cloud hosting of application servers (Droplets) and for object storage (DigitalOcean Spaces) holding user-uploaded media, backups and related files, under DigitalOcean’s data processing terms; (2) the Operator’s own organisation for administration and support. Depending on features you use, we may also engage independent payment processors (e.g. Stripe, PayPal, Payfast—only if enabled), email and SMS delivery providers, real-time communication SDKs, CDN or encoding services for media, and AI API providers (e.g. OpenAI, Moonshot/Kimi) when those integrations are active. We do not publish a fixed exhaustive list where vendors may change for security or operations; you may request an up-to-date summary of categories of recipients. All processors receive only the data necessary for their role.

7. International transfers

DigitalOcean and other providers may process data in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom or other regions depending on your deployment and their infrastructure. Where data is transferred outside your country, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms where required.

8. Retention

We keep data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for backups, disputes and compliance. Security logs, transaction records and legal holds may be kept longer. Listing messages may be retained like other messages subject to settings and law.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port data, object to certain processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us via the Contact page or in-Service settings where available.

10. Age restriction

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly register or collect personal data from anyone under 18 (or under the higher age of digital consent in their country). Accounts that appear to belong to underage users may be closed.

11. Security

We implement technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy. We will post the new version and adjust the date above.
